The combination of Ruby Port, Sloes & Hedgerow Gin ought not to work, but it does! Once tried it’s impossible to forget. Unlike our other liqueurs the Ruby Port jammy, red wine notes dominate and luxuriate with the rich, bold sloes and gin
Nose – deep, oozy, dark fruit notes, with gentle almond tones.
Palate – rich, jammy ruby port notes give way to drier clear sloe gin elements
Finish – rich and rounded, with a wine dryness.
Sweetness – low, some sweetness
Juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, bay with six botanicals foraged from the farm and local hedgerows: crab apple, rosehip, elderflower, nettle leaf & wildflower meadow hay. Stones from the spent fruit from our sloe gin.
